International Campaign against Death Penalty
MORATORIUM 2000
We have received your adhesion to the international campaign against the
death sentence " MORATORIUM 2000 ". Your names have been added to the
list of the supporters.
The goal of our campaign " Moratorium 2000 " is to achieve a global
suspension of the executions by the year 2000. We believe capital punishment
should be abolished, but we propose this suspension while we work for
abolition.
To this end we are collecting signatures. Being reached to quote 500.000 but
we hope to collect millions. The signatures will be present to Kofi Annan,
General Secretary of the United Nations, as part of a ceremony to be held in
New York ( the date has not still been established ).
After presentation of the petition and signatures to Kofi Annan, the text of
the appeal will be forwarded to all countries where the death penalty is
still in force.

italian and english. From this site it's possibile to get information and to
sign the petition.
It is also possible to download the appeal and the signature form to collect
signatures among your friends. This file is avaiable in many languages
(english, italian, french, german and spanish).
We are looking for help in collect signatures, expecially in countries where
the death penalty is still in force. These signature are most important for
us. Can you help us in this effort ?
