Rugova associate shot and wounded 12:14 PRISTINA, Sunday - Unknown attackers
shot and wounded prominent Democratic Alliance of Kosovo activist Milazim
Maraj in the Istok municipality yesterday, UNMIK police reported.
Police said the three attackers fled after wounding Maraj, also a prominent
former Kosovo Liberation Army member.
Ibrahim Rugova's Democratic Alliance of Kosovo party told press the attack
was politically motivated.
The Maraj shooting marks the fourth high profile attack since last November
on a moderate ethnic Albanian politician associated with Rugova's party.
Rugova's close political advisor Xhemail Mustafa and Klina mayor Ismet Raci
were killed in November and April. Party official Fetah Rudi was badly
