Her
later man som om de rettigheter dagen opprinnelig dreier seg om lever i
beste velgående.

Det er alt annet enn sant, hva bl.a. NRK selv er et levende bevis på.

Italian politician on hunger strike

Emma Bonino: claims party's voice stifled

The Italian politician and former European Commissioner Emma Bonino is
growing weaker as she continues a hunger strike in protest at what she
claims is unfair media coverage.

No-one wants to have the Vatican against them, especially in this election

Emma Bonino Ms Bonino, one of the leaders of the Radical Party (PR) claims
that her party is being excluded from coverage of the general election, due
to take place on 13 May.

Since she launched her hunger and thirst strike three days ago, she has lost
3.1kg and is showing the first signs of dehydration and muscular softening.

Hundreds of other party members are joining her in the protest.

Issues excluded

"I've been trying everything but the point is the real debate happens in the
TV," Ms Bonino told BBC's Europe Today programme, explaining why she
resorted to this drastic measure to make her point.

She claims that debate on issues such as the right to scientific research on
embryos, the morning after pill, or the relationship between the Italian
state and the Vatican were being deliberately shunned by Italy's political
forces.

"The basic issues of life and death are simply excluded," she said.

"No-one wants to have the Vatican against them, especially in this
election," she added.

Another party leader, Luca Coscione, has also joined in the strike, deciding
to reduce medication he is taking, which doctors consider necessary for his
survival.

Elsewhere, more than 250 people faithful to the party have followed suit,
joining the action either by hunger strike or by refusing medication.
